Locations and Placements

Choose the right placement for you!

Placements in Thailand differ largely across the country. From salary and lifestyle to affordability and population density.

We have many placements available year-round, especially at the beginning of every semester (May and November). Applying during this time provides you with the most options to find a suitable placement.

However, even after the semester begins, we continue to place teachers every month. If you are unable to start on time, it’s no problem to come to Thailand after the semester has begun. We have a variety of different schools located in different regions, rural communities, and in the city.

How are they different?

City Schools :

The cost of living in the city is higher but things are much more accessible and public transportation makes it easy to travel around. However, the school in the city always have a higher teaching standard. The schools are quite strict with the lesson plans and the teacher much be very professional. Schools in the city are best suited for individuals who already have teaching experience.

Tourist – Rich Areas :

Tourist areas provide a very picturesque teaching experience, with immediate access to popular tourist attractions. The downside to teaching in tourist-rich areas is that living costs tend to be higher due to the tourism industry, so saving can be difficult. Teaching positions in these areas are also highly sought after, so placements can be limited. An open mind is important when applying for a placement in these areas.
***These areas include Chumphon, Trang, Krabi, Hatyai, Surat Thani, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Chonburi, and Rayong.

  • Thailand is a hot spot for teachers around the world, and for good reason. With mouthwatering food, a tropical climate, treasured culture, and picturesque natural scenery, it is little wonder why Thailand is a magnet for teachers and travelers alike.
  • Our team will help you find the best available placements in accordance to your desires.
  • have conveniently divided the country into five regions: Northern, Issan (Northeastern), Central, Eastern and Southern—each with their own geographical and cultural differences.

Limitations

  • For those who are seeking to be placed on islands, particularly that of the southern provinces, please note that we seldom send teachers away from the mainland.
  • Exotic as it may be, very few island schools have the budget or desire to hire full-time salaried English teachers; however, being situated inland grants you easy access to many of the many islands Thailand has to offer.
  • Salaries in Southern and Northern provinces are lesser than that in Central and Issan (Northeast) regions due to the sheer popularity of these placements
  • Salaries are greater in Bangkok due to the high cost of living.
