Teaching Placement
Teaching in Thailand allows you to not only positively impact our youth, but to immerse yourself in the Thai culture and enrich your life with new experiences in the “Land of Smile”. Mouth-watering food, tropical climate, picturesque natural scenery- it’s little wonder why Thailand is a magnet for teachers and travelers alike! Steeped in rich Buddhist history, teacher-travelers – from budget backpackers to well-heeled globetrotters-will have the opportunity to explore the many riches that an economically booming Thailand has to offer.
We pledge to offer our candidates a guaranteed teaching position upon successful completion of the application process no ifs, ands, or buts. The Road Experience team will try our hardest to pair you with a Thai school that reflects your interests from grade level to location and everything in-between.
Teaching period in Thailand
- A typical school year is divided into two half-year terms. The first semester begins from May to September; the second November to March. October and April are holiday periods. Teachers who sign a 1-year contract beginning from November are guaranteed 2-3 weeks of paid holiday during October.
- We advise teachers to apply before the start of each semester to secure an ideal location and school; however, we are certainly able to place teachers every month without difficulty.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and present instructional exercises that facilitate active learning experiences
- Devise a curriculum and develop weekly lesson plans
- Inventively produce a variety of educational materials for in-class activities
- Mark student classwork, homework, exams, and other additional assignments
- Diligently manage student behavior by establishing classroom guidelines
- Actively and enthusiastically participate in school related engagements
